THREATENING AGAINST THE GEORGIAN DREAM SUPPORTER EKA KVACHADZE IN LANCHKHUTI

2012-08-08 On August 8, 2012, there was an assembly held in downtown Lanckhuti for commemorating the August 2008 developments. Eka Kvachadze, who was wearing a shirt of the Georgian Dream, expressed her desire to participate in the assembly. Irma Mgeladze, head of Lanchkhuti Municipality’s department for cuturel, monuments protection and sports, resisted. Irma Mgeladze told her – “you’re not on our side and therefore, you don’t have the right to stand here. You should go to the Georgian Dream.” Eka Kvachadze’s mother works at school and therefore, she is worried that she may face problems. The ISFED’s LTO contacted Irma Mgeladze, head of Lanchkhuti Municipality’s department for culture, monuments protection and sports to verify the fact but he refused to comment.
