2012-08-04 In early August 2012, sacks filled with different products – flour, oil, sugar, were placed on the territory of the central stadium and Chiatura Municipality Gamgeoba. Later the products were distributed among the population of several villages of Chiatura Municipality. On August 4, 2012, the product was distributed among the population of Perevi Village as well, accompanied by Chiatura Gamgebeli Prokof Chikviladze. On August 6, Deputy Gamgebeli of Chiatura, Zurab Ketiladze was in the village of Tsirkvali during distribution of the products. Population of villages of Zodi and Gezruli also received the food-stuff. Part of the population who did not receive the food-stuff believe that beneficiaries were selected based on their political affiliation. The ISFED is unaware of any lists or principles that served as the basis for distribution of products. Local self-government officials say that the assistance was distributed among the population affected by an earthquake in 1991.
