On September 27, in village Nakhiduri, there was a physical confrontation between members of the united opposition and the ruling party supporters. According to the opposition, a brother of GD majoritarian candidate, Gogi Meshveliani was among the attackers. The parties have accused each other of instigating the confrontation.

Four police officers reported to the house of a local UNM leader, Arip Yusupov, who participated in the incident on September 27. They tried to take him out of the house and force him in a car, but he and his family resisted, and physical confrontation ensued. According to Kakha Okriashvili and Dimitri Shashkini, one of Yusupov’s female relatives was hurt during the incident.
