MOST LIKELY CASES OF POLITICAL PRESSURE / THREATS AND CAMPAIGN OBSTRUCTION
2020-10-23 On October 1, in the 12th building of Third Micro-District of Mukhiani, a representative of the European Georgia was planning to conduct a door-to-door visit of voters and distribute campaign materials; however, GD coordinators met him outside the building and asked him to leave the area, citing that the European Georgia supporters did not live there. Zviad Bolokadze, representative of the European Georgia, told ISFED that elderly women, who were GD coordinators, started quarreling with them. Several young men got out of a nearby mini-bus and they prohibited the European Georgia representatives from entering the building, saying they had to leave the area and never come back. The European Georgia representative had to escape the situation and he could not distribute the campaign materials.
