Head of the UNM campaign office in Sachkhere, Zurab Tsertsvadze told ISFED observer that election commission members from the UNM were intimidated and as a result, they had to replace four members.

ISFED observer contacted these individuals. One of them confirmed the information and said her husband received a call and was told that his wife should have refrained from cooperating with the United National Movement. As to who made the call, she explained that her husband did not specify the person’s identity. She also said she wants to remain anonymous because her husband has a business and she does not want him to have any problems. In the remaining three cases, former commission members explained that they turned down the position for lack of time.
