2020-10-26 Dodo Chotorlishvili the principal of Ksani public school for seven years. In 2020, her term expired and her contract was supposed to be renewed. Chotorlishvili told ISFED observer that since her husband and son are involved in the election campaign of the opposition as UNM activists, her contract was not renewed. Contracts were renewed for those principals who were loyal to the Georgian Dream. According to her, due to her family members’ cooperation with the opposition, she was pressured throughout the last seven years. It is also worth noting that upon her dismissal, Chotorlishvili felt unwell and was hospitalized. According to the Ministry of Education, they have not dismissed a single principal. Contracts of principals elected by the board of trustees in public schools nationwide has started to gradually expire as of September 2020. The Ministry added that principals are aware of this and that they can participate in the competition announced for selecting the school principals.
