On July 16, Gia Basiladze, the head of the warehouse of the Tskaltubo Service Center of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia, demanded a resignation of Papuna Asatiani citing his son`s political choice as the reason. The head of the service also told him that if he did not leave voluntarily, he would not find it difficult to find a reason for his dismissal.

Papuna Asatiani`s son is currently a member of the Party "for Georgia”. It should be noted that Gia Basiladze, the head of the Tskaltubo Service Center of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia, headed Kutaisi office of the Georgian Dream during the 2020 parliamentary elections.

ISFED observer contacted Gia Basiladze, who called Asatiani’s statement an "absolute lie."

After the ISFED inquired about the fact, the threat against Asatiani was ceased.
