In 2006, Zurab Koiava was appointed as a member of Chiatura # 56 DEC. In July 2010 he was sentenced to 3 years prison and fine for robbery, but nevertheless he was still a member of commission until the end of 5 year term. In February 2011, he was appointed by the CEC as a member of the DEC. On May 18, 2012, pediatrician of Chiatura Municipality Hospital and head of pediatric division Malkhaz Tsereteli, who also serves as one of the Republican Party leaders in Chiatura, was unexpectedly dismissed from work. He alleges that his dismissal had to do with the statement he made about a number of violations at Chiatura Medical Center Geo Hospital Ltd....

On April 26, 2012, a security guard of a football stadium in Chiatura was threatened with dismissal from work if he continued going to the office of the Georgian Dream. His son was also threatened with dismissal from work. The security guard personally informed ISFED’s long-term observer about the fact and also noted that, since he is afraid of losing his job, he refrains from publicizing any additional details of the incident....
