DISMISSAL FROM WORK OF ZURAB TERGIASHVILI, ACTIVIST OF THE COALITION GEORGIAN DREAM IN GURJAANI

2012-05-22 After distributing the magazines issued by the Georgian Dream, Zurab Tergiashvili was summoned to the State Audit Service. He did not respond to the summons. After that he was interrogated in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Urgent Medical Service where he had been working did not resume an employment contract with him. The manager of the Service is unable to clarify specific reasons for Mr. Tergiashvili’s dismissal.

2012-05-21 An activist of the coalition Georgian Dream, Zurab Tergiashvili, was subject to alleged political pressure in early April. Mr. Tergiashvili had been working as an ambulance driver for seven years. After his contract expired – on April 1, 2011 – it was never renewed. Zurab Tergiashvili himself alleges that he was dismissed from work due to his political affiliation.
