DETENTION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF GEORGIAN DREAM FOR VOTE BUYING IN KUTAISI
2012-07-13 On June 5, 2012, representatives of the coalition Georgian Dream Giorgi Ambroladze, Misha Meskhi and Mikheil Amashukeli were distributing fliers, telling the population to write their wishes and dreams within worth no more than GEL 1000 and that they would receive the home appliances that they wished for. On June 6 these individuals were detained on charges of vote-buying as envisaged by the Criminal Code and sentenced to two-months of pre-trial imprisonment.
