DISMISSAL OF GIORGI MCHEDLISHVILI MEMBER OF GEORGIAN DREAM LAGODEKHI DISTRICT OFFICE

2012-07-30 On July 3, 2012, a member of coalition Georgian Dream Lagodekhi district office, George Mchedlishvili, was dismissed from work. He was a driver for Bank "Constanta". George Mchedlishvili connects the dismissal with his political activities. More specifically, the Coalition interviewers were checking the voters list door-to-door in Lagodekhi municipality, when the governor of the territorial unit for village Kabali Jemal Niyazov demanded that they stopped working, as he considered activities of interviewers as a political agitation. George Mchedlishvili arrived in the village in order to study the details of incident. After his conversation with Niyazov, the interviewers continued to work.
A week later, the Lagodekhi branch manager of Bank “Constanta”, George Koberidze, informed George Mchedlishvili that his labor contract was terminated.
It’s noteworthy that George Mchedlishvili had signed an open-ended labor contract on January 1, 2012. During the working period he has never been given any notice, warning or reprimand.
