HINDERING THE CAMPAIGN OF ACTIVIST OF GEORGIAN DREAM BY UNM ACTIVIST IN POTI

2012-08-03 On August 3, 2012, representatives of the coalition Georgian Dream were distributing newspapers and letters of invitation at Agmashenebeli Street in Poti. UNM’s activist Irakli Nachkebia approached to them, took away their newspapers, tore them and threw them right into the face of the coalition’s representatives. Several minutes after the incident, a vehicle with license plates CJC 251 started following activists of the Georgian Dream. The driver started addressing the young men with obscene language. The ISFED’s LTO verified the information with the UNM’s representative Irakli Nachkebia and the latter confirmed the fact. He also confirmed that he tore the newspapers and the invitation letters apart but rejected any confrontation and use of obscene language or following by a car.
