2013-01-29 There were 106 applications submitted for the vacancy of Gamgebeli. Members of the competition (certification) board considered the applications on December 22 and chose the 5 candidates. On January 8, supporters of the coalition Georgian Dream and part of Lanchkhuti population blocked the administrative building and were not letting employees inside the building. They declared no confidence to members of the board. On January 29, Zaza Urushadze, supporter of the coalition Georgian Dream was elected as Gamgebeli. Urushadze was the only candidate for the opening. His candidacy was supported by all 23 members of Sakrebulo present at the meeting.
