2013-03-26 On December 24, Dmanisi Gamgebeli Tengiz Mirotadze submitted a letter of resignation. The following day, Sakrebulo approved with 20 votes Gogi Barbakadze, head of the Georgian Dream’s office in Dmanisi to the position of Gamgebeli. Former Gamgebeli did not explain the reason behind his resignation. According to members of Sakrebulo, Mirotadze decided to resign voluntarily and he had not been pressured whatsoever to do so. After announcement of a competition for a vacant position of Gamgebeli, applications were reviewed through March 13. Candidacy of Gogi Barbakadze who served as an Acting Gamgebeli was selected following a competition. On March 26, Sakrebulo Members voted for the new Gamgebeli of Dmanisi Municipality Gogi Barbakadze.
