2013-01-31 On January 25, 12 members of Sakrebulo motioned for resignation of Sakrebulo Chairperson Giorgi Kirtadze. On January 31, Irakli Chavleishvili (Republican), chairperson of the faction For Batumi was elected as Batumi Sakrebulo Chairperson. The meeting was attended by 15 members out of 23 all of whom voted for the candidate. The meeting was not attended by representatives of the faction UNM, as they believed that it had been scheduled in violation of law. Former Chairperson Giorgi Kirtadze who was forced to resign is planning to file in court.
