2013-01-29 on January 29, Lanckhuti Municipality Gamgebeli Kakha Askurava was questioned by the police. The investigation is looking into infrastructure works in Lanckhuti prior to the elections. Kakha Kukava has stated that he was not pressured during questioning; however, he thinks it may be possible that he was summoned due to a scheduled meeting of Sakrebulo, where Lanckhuti Sakrebulo Chairperson will be elected. Representatives of the Georgian Dream and the UNM are competing for this position. In addition to Gamgebeli and his deputy, there were several other members of Sakrebulo summoned to Lanckhuti Police Department for questioning.
