2013-01-31 on January 31, officers of Shida Kartli Division of Ministry of Finance’s investigating service arrested Head of the Department of Economy and Infrastructure Development of Kaspi Gamgeoba, Zurab Gelitashvili and Head of the Kaspi Amenities Ltd. Giorgi Gotsiridze were arrested on charges of misappropriation of a large amount of state funds. The investigation established that an agreement was signed between Kaspi Municipality Gamgeoba and Kaspi Amenities Ltd. founded by the municipality, for sweeping and cleaning of Kaspi suburbs, and take care of the landfill area. According to the investigating authorities, contract terms were systematically violated. Investigation has been launched under para.2 and 3 of Article 182 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisaging imprisonment from 7 to 11 years.
