2013-02-07 On February 7, Chairperson of the faction UNM of Tbilisi Sakrebulo Nikoloz Khachirashvili was summoned at the investigating department of the MOF. According to the investigating authorities, he was questioned in relation to the case of Tbilservice Group Ltd. According to Nikoloz Khachirashvili, members of local self-governments and the UNM MPs were summoned in various investigating agencies for questioning almost on a daily basis, which amounts to a psychological, moral and political pressure. Chairperson of the UNM’s Regional Organization in Samgori Giorgi Kakhnelidze was also questioned in the MOF’s investigating department in relation to the case of Tbilservice Group.

2013-02-04 On February 4, director general of Tbilservice Group Ltd. Tornike Shiolashvili and his first deputy Giorgi Khuchua were questioned. The very same day, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Tariel Khizanishvili was also questioned in relation to the activities of Tbilservice Group Ltd. at the investigating department of the MOF

2013-02-02 on February 2, Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava was summoned by investigating authorities but he did not appear for questioning, saying that he would wait for an investigator in his office in City Hall. Representatives of the office of the prosecutor and the MOF’s investigating department arrived in the City Hall for questioning. Gigi Ugulava was questioned for several hours by the investigators, asking questions about activities of Tbilservice Group. The investigation has established that on December 31, 2009, director general of Tbilservice Group Ltd. at that time, Giogi Khuchua, under the instructions of the head of the City Hall’s Cleaning Services Department at that time, Tariel Khizanishvili, established pro-forma public relations division within the department for the purpose of providing financial income to activists of the UNM. Over the period of two years the department fictitiously employed 764 activists of the political party – the so-called party coordinators. Most of them had not even worked a single day at the department; nevertheless, they received GEL 5 245 945 from assignations intended for the budget of Tbilisi
