2013-02-07 On February 7, a protest rally was staged demanding resignation of Khelvachauri Sakrebulo Chairperson Malkhaz Partenadze. Head of the Information Center to Combat Corruption Merab Ghoghoberidze invaded Malkhaz Partenadze’s office together with several other citizens and declared that he would not leave the office until members of Sakirebulo convened an extraordinary meeting for resignation of the chairperson. Ghoghoberidze explained that Malkhaz Partenadze was involved in Beshumi incident and he had no moral right to continue working as Sakrebulo Chairperson. Law enforcers mobilized outside the office of the chairperson. Ghoghoberidze left as late as 10:00pm and continued to protest in the reception area of Sakrebulo Chairperson for the rest of the night.
