2013-02-08 On February 8, Deputy Governor of Kvemo Kartli Zaza Dekanoidze was summoned to the office of the prosecutor of Marneuli. Following questioning, former Gamgebeli of Marneuli and Deputy Governor of Kvemo Kartli stated that they had been questioned about the pre-election period, when Dekanoidze served as the manager of the UNM’s election campaign in Marneuli. The investigation had questions about whether his position as the election campaign manager corresponded to his official capacity of Marneuli Gamgebeli – the position that he was holding at that time.
