He often attends public events funded from the Budget - for instance, together with Majoritarian MP of Akhmeta and representatives of the Ministry of Culture he was present at a traditional festival Tushetoba in Tusheti . During the event majoritarian MP of Akhmeta, Zurab Zviadauri presented Margvelashvili as a presidential candidate . In its report released on July 22, ISFED welcomed resignation of Giorgi Margvelashvili from his position of the Minister of Education and Science as he launched his presidential campaign. However, active election campaigning is coupled with evident use of state resources by municipal authorities and the presidential candidate, jeopardizing equal and competitive pre-election environment.
