2013-08-23 On August 23, Gamgebeli Tamaz Davitadze resigned from his position based on his personal statement. On the same day Sakrebulo session was held. 18 deputies were attending the session, on which Tariel Ebralidze was appointed as Acting Gamgebeli. Deputies unanimously supported the appointment of new Gamgebeli. Omar Megrelidze - Majoritarian MP of the municipality in Georgian parliament was attending the session. Former Gamgebeli stated, in his conversation with ISFED's long term observer, that there was no intimidation or threat against him and the reason of submitting the letter of resignation was the change of his working position.
