On July 29, Givi Mikanadze, a member of the Georgian parliament, called ISFED a "low-standard" observer organization at a meeting with Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani researchers after learning that ISFED long-term observer was also present at the event.

ISFED issued a statement on these facts and called on the ruling party to immediately stop putting pressure on the organization and its observers and reminded that conducting the activities of observer organizations in a safe and constructive environment, including ensuring the safety of the observers, is primarily the responsibility of the government.

ISFED will continue to ensure the smooth operation of its observers and will make every effort to make their findings and monitoring results known to the general public.
