2016-07-14 Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili participated in the UNM’s pre-election campaign in violation of campaign rules. He urged voters to support the UNM’s majoritarian candidates. Article 45 (4f) prohibits foreign citizens from participating in election campaign. On July 14, the UNM introduced their majoritarian candidate for Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda.
