POSSIBLE VOTE-BUYING BY MAJORITARIAN MEMBERS OF THE GEORGIAN PARLIAMENT

2020-07-09 Majoritarian MP Anzor Bolkvadze was actively involved in distribution of groceries among locals in March, April and May, which was mostly paid for and organized by the local self-government. In posts published on his official Facebook page the MP states that he was attending an event organized under the initiative of Shuakhevi Mayor, where groceries were distributed among the elderly, severely ill individuals, persons with disabilities, older adults living alone and families with many children. According to the statement of Shuakhevi Municipality, on May 7, with support of Georgian MP Anzor Bolkvadze and private sector, a charity event was held in villages of Vani and Zemokhevi, Bartauli Administrative Unit. Information about the event was also shared by the MP from the official Facebook page of Shuakhevi Municipality, in the form of a public post.
