On October 19, someone threw rocks at the car of Levan Mikeladze, an activist of the majoritarian candidate of the united opposition, Kakha Okriashvili, while he was driving on Bolnisi-Marneuli road.
According to the information provided to ISFED observer by Kakha Okriashvili’s campaign office, two cars started following an employee of the campaign office, Levan Mikeladze as he was driving from the territory of Bolnisi Hospital. They were trying to hit Levan Mikeladze’s car. First, they demanded that he stop the car and when he refused to comply, they fired at him. Two cars followed him to Sakire and when they realized that he was not going to stop, they fired in the air. A bullet hit the car near its fuel tank. According to the victim, Assembly member Beka Tsakadze and a member of GD’s campaign office Achiko Mindiashvili were sitting in one of the cars that was following him.
Investigation has been launched. GD Executive Secretary Irakli Kobakhidze said the incident was a provocation planned by the United National Movement and Kakha Okriashvili.
