On September 30, according to UNM’s campaign manager in Senaki Municipality, Miranda Mirtskhulava, head of the investigative department at Senaki Military Base Levan Salakaia attacked her son and threatened him with a weapon. Mirtskhulava’s son Giorgi Gogava provided the law enforcement officers with a detailed account of the incident. He said that after Salakaia demanded that Giorgi Gogava’s mother abandon her political activities, he verbally insulted and threatened him.

Despite numerous attempts, the observer was unable to contact Levan Salakaia. Later, ISFED found that he was at the Senaki Military Base. It proved to be impossible to enter the military base and interview him.
