Mindia Baramia, who was the head of the Streets Maintenance and Improvement Department at Poti Municipality Service Center, is talking about the dismissal allegedly on political ground. He had close relations with Poti Deputy Mayor, Paata Lagvilava and Vice-Mayor, Konstantine Topuria.

After Konstantine Topuria and Paata Lagvilava joined Giorgi Gakharia`s political party, the mayor of Poti fired them immediately. Due to the fact that Mindia Baramia had a close friendship with the above-mentioned members of Giorgi Gakharia`s team, he was also asked to write a statement about resignation, but he refused. Baramia`s contract was terminated on May 14, 2021. The order does not indicate either factual or legal grounds for dismissal. ISFED will defend Mindia Baramia`s rights in court.
